Here you will find an overview of our work, leadership and a full digital copy of our proposal. We are excited about the potential to work with Horizon Foundation. Not only is this a worthwhile cause that is a great fit for our talent and experience, but we do have many relevant relationships in Howard County. Several of our employees, including our vice president and creative director, Darren Easton, live in Howard County and are committed to community service there.

The Cyphers Agency, Inc. is a 17-person, full-service marketing, advertising and public relations company that has served regional and national clients since 1989. We value highly collaborative relationships and we pride ourselves in fresh, creative approaches crafted to connect with each audience.

We look forward to an opportunity to meet and share our passion for our ideas and approach in person.

Case Studies

Howard County Community Service Pro Bono

James' Place

James Place is a local, Howard County non-profit that helps those battling the disease of addiction. We worked through our brand development process and coordinated the creation of their website on a pro bono basis to give James Place a strong online presence and brand elements they could apply to communications moving forward.

Shatter the Stigma

We also developed a logo, imagery and a tagline for their Shatter the Stigma® informational resource initiative.

The Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent

Our vice president and creative director, Darren Easton serves on the Rotary board and we have been happy to donate time and talent to develop creative concepts to drive several successful member recruitment campaigns for the organization, each timed to coincide The Business Monthly’s annual Rotary Salute issue.

Dave Cyphers

Dave started his career working with Annapolis Sailing School and Annapolis Boat Shows. From a high school job teaching sailing, Dave moved to the marketing side during college and was appointed marketing director upon graduating from the University of Maryland with a Journalism degree. From that position, Dave launched what would become The Cyphers Agency in 1989. He took on a partner in 1994 and bought her half of the business five years later. Through the last 30 years, Dave has led the guidance of marketing efforts for hundreds of businesses across a wide range of regional and national consumer, B2B and non-profit markets. Today, Dave remains engaged in daily account management as the agency’s lead strategist. Dave also works to identify and adopt emerging technologies and techniques to anticipate the next marketing opportunities and challenges that clients will face.
